Poles for Balance and Mobility

A great way to get outdoors safely without worry of falling is to use poles while walking or hiking to help with balance and stability. The poles are lightweight and easy to use, giving a sense of balanced movement.

Using poles may benefit for:

REDUCING STRESS ON YOUR KNEES, ANKLES, HIPS AND SPINE.

IMPROVING POSTURE AND ENDURANCE

REDUCE THE RISK OF FALLING

IMPROVE UPPER BODY STRENGTH, ENGAGING THE PECTORALS, BACK, TRICEPS AND ABDOMINAL MUSCLES

INCREASE HEART RATE AND PROVIDE GREATER AEROBIC OUTPUT

HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS AND WITH NAVIGATING TRICKY TERRAIN

There is a great site, www.polesformobiity.com, which gives a short tutorial video on the many benefits of walking with poles for exercise. Also on the site there are recommendations on understanding poles and what kind to purchase, great tips.

I met a gentlemen a few years back who was using poles and he told me that without them he would not be able to walk upright like he did. He had spinal stenosis and the poles have made all the difference in the world to him.

The poles are excellent for someone with Parkinson's, MS, Alzheimers, Vertigo, Spinal Stenosis, or any kind of brain disorder or balance concerns.
